PAGB Championship 15 Jul 2023

The PAGB PDI Championship was held at Warwick on Sat 15 Jul.

The competition is between two selected clubs from each Federation in GB – which means there were over 20 clubs taking part with a total of 1080 images being marked.  There are 3 judges providing marks from 1-5 points. Regretfully – with the number of images, that meant that each images was shown for approx 5 seconds each.

After the inital 2 rounds, Blandford was placed 34th out of 41 clubs.  The first 8 clubs went on to participate in the Finals with Chorley Photographic Society being placed 1st. The remaining clubs went on to compete in the Plate. We were placed 32nd. Whilst this was a little dissappointing, we were pleased to see that there was only 1 point differences between  the clubs – so we were so very close to being higher up the scorecard against much bigger clubs (eg Belfast, Wigan, Leeds).

Thank you to Denise, Graham and Rachel for coming along and especially Rachel for driving. We had an enjoyable and interesting day  not only seeing images from around the UK but also the standard required for the winners at  this level of competition.
