New members are welcome, whatever their experience. There are no pre-requirements, just come to a meeting, make yourself known and participate to the extent you feel comfortable with.
Why not come for a taster visit or two before you commit yourself to membership?
Once a member you can join in all of the programmed activities; submit prints for the points cup competitions if you wish and participate in the Practical Support evening (first Thursday in the month). If you prefer just to come along and listen for a while, that’s fine.
The annual subscription is £50 due at the beginning of the season in September. This fee covers all club activities except where there is an entry fee to the venue of one of the Clubs social activities organised during the summer period.
The only other regular expense is the £1 per week we contribute for refreshments taken during the evening. Photographic magazines, members have finished with, are generally available for a 50p donation to Club funds; we occasionally have a raffle.
The evening meetings start at 7:30 and members arrive from about 7 o’clock. A refreshment break is taken at 8:30 and meetings close at about 10 o’clock.
There is no age limit; we have members of all ages from teenage upwards, male, female and several couples. If you are interested in photography and wish to learn, share your skills, or join the fellowship of those with similar interests, join us.
Finding the Club house
If out of town, leave the bypass on the Wimborne Road (B3082) and enter the town in the direction of the traffic flow that would take you through East Street and the market place. At the first traffic lights, turn right up Damory Court Street and follow the directions on the map download below.
