Our first competition of the season, as per tradition, starts with The President’s Cup, judged by our current President, Norman Carey.

Eligible images, are from the 2018/19 Points Cup competitions, for images that scored 9, 9.5 or 10 points. A seasoned judge, Norman commented that the standard of work was so good.

The prints were first, with 15 images followed by 16 pdi’s. Norman gave a full critique of each, mentioning composition elements, such as strong diagonals and the golden section as well as the use of complimentary colours.

On the first run through he held 5 prints, and in the pdi’s he held back 10, finally choosing his favourite in each section:
