As we prepare for the new season at the club, we reflect on the previous couple of years. Zoom was a powerful tool during the lockdowns, keeping us connected with each other and engaged in our shared interest of photography and although we intend to have our regular Tuesday face-to-face meetings back in the clubhouse, we have embraced technology and will continue to stream our meetings on zoom for those that can’t make it in.
It was good to catch up with each other at the summer events, and we have some extra activities planned over the winter too.
The new season starts on 6th September with Geoff Killer and his Chairman’s Evening, which includes guest speaker Malcolm McNaughton and his presentation ‘Land of Mountains and Flood’.
The 2022/2023 program includes a good mix of competitions, training evenings and speakers, thanks to Eric Langley for his dedication to this job.
On a hot July evening a team of members armed with tools and determination attacked the garden at the club, this is now looking respectable again, so no machetes required to access the meetings, the path has been found.
