The first ‘hybrid’ meeting of 2022 took place on Tuesday 1st March, with our judge and some members zooming in and other members arriving at the clubhouse somewhat reminiscent of old times.
It was Round 6 of the Points Cup Competition, and our Judge Norman Marsh had 42 images to critique and score.
Colin Cross took the top score of 10 with ‘Eagle Owl Hunting’, closely followed by his image ‘Soaring Gannett’ and Glynis Larter-Whitcher with ‘Kimmeridge Bay Waterfall’, both achieving 9.5 marks. Roly Barth ‘Hare Watching’ and Debbie Davies ‘Oops You Caught Me’ both scored 9 points.
Norman was keen to advise us on how to improve our images at the point of capture and also in editing, and gave commentary of the images presented and the subject matter.
Next week images for the Exhibition are being handed in, but on the 15th Tracy Lund will be presenting her talk Wildlife Part Three. Knowing how special Part One and Part Two were it is something to look forward to. Tracy will be presenting on Zoom, but the clubhouse will be open for anyone that wishes to go in person.
